
Dr. Sony Canteenwala received his Bachelor of Science
from the University of Manitoba in 1995. In 1999 he
graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from
Atlanta , Georgia . The same year he received his
Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Canteenwala was
certified with Future Industrial Technologies as an
Injury Prevention Specialist and has worked as a consultant
locally and overseas. Companies he has worked for
and created injury prevention programs for include
United Airlines, Air Canada , Pepsi Cola, Hostess
Frito Lay amongst many other companies. In 2003 Dr.
Canteenwala created a college level course curriculum
on stress management and spinal health which has since
been implemented in Manitoba. Dr. Canteenwala is also
a post graduate instructor of technique and analysis
for Life University in Atlanta, Georgia .
He is currently the Director of the Holder Research Institute Canada teaching the Torque Release Technique. He is also a board member of the American College of Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders.
Dr. Sony Canteenwala is a member of the Manitoba Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Association (ICA). In addition Dr. Canteenwala holds the position of Representative Assemblyman for Manitoba in the International Chiropractors Association and was awarded their International Leadership Award in 2004 in Washington D.C. In 2005 he was inducted as a Distinguished fellow of the ICA , and in 2006 received their Representative Assemblyman of the Year Award ( Arlington, Virginia ).
Dr. Canteenwala is currently in private practice at the Canteenwala Chiropractic Centre in Winnipeg, Canada.
